TWELFTH BHAVA

Karakatwas

Salvation, imprisonment, hospitalization, feet, pilgrimage, philosophical knowledge, Sanyasa, expenditure of all forms, losses, exit from this world, going away to foreign land, left eye, leg, loss, secrets, intrigues, poverty, sin,  bed comforts, discharge of debts, paternal wealth.

Positional Significance

11^th from 2^nd family circle of relatives and friends, profits of the family, progeny of brother / sister,

10^th from 3^rd brothers’ careers,

9^th from 4^th prosperity from Mother, foreign education and residence,

8^th from 5^th Longevity of children, nature of death of children,

7^th from 6^th maternal uncle’s wife,

6^th from 7^th husband / wife’s diseases,

5^th from 8^th bequests and insurance investments relating to children,

4^th from 9^th grand mother, ancestral property, sea travels, father’s happiness, 3^rd from 10^th short journeys connected with profession,

2^nd from 11^th money of eldest co-born.

12^th Lord in different houses:

1H – Extravagant, weak constitution, bereft of wealth and education. This disposition also adversely affects the longevity of the native.

2H – Spends on good causes, religious minded, happy but without much wealth.

3H – Bereft of happiness from brothers and sisters, jealous, no initiative, selfish and unhappy.

4H – Deprived of comforts of lands and buildings, conveyances, loss of domestic happiness, with this disposition, the native may not get happiness from mother but it is good for the mother because 12H is 9^th from 4^th and is therefore bhagya house for the mother.

5H – Devoid of education and children or has to incur losses through his children.

6H – Jealous, short tempered, unhappy, adulterer, but he is wealthy and famous because the disposition of the lord of a Dusthana in another Dusthana causes vipreet raja-yoga.

7H – Losses through women, little married happiness. There may be separation between husband and wife.

8H – Wealthy (Lord of Dusthana in other Dusthana), medium life.

9H – Selfish, poor, unfortunate.

10H – Unhappy, difficulties in profession, may be punished or disgraced by government.

11H – All classical texts say that 12L in 11H results in extravagance on the part of the native. But it may be argued that 11H is 12^th from 12^th (House of loss) and this disposition negates the losses and makes the native wealthy.

12H – Own house, gives native good gains of wealth, comfort of bed (may get company of many women). If 12L is Jupiter, Sun, Moon and Saturn, the expenditure will be on good causes, otherwise on getting pleasures.

ELEVENTH BHAVA

Karakatwas

Profits / success, all planets are auspicious in this house, eldest brother / sister, gain of money, wealth, education, gain of status and respect, recognition, rewards and awards, pleasant tidings, paternal property, ear, skill in art, important papers and documents.

Positional Significance

12^th from 12^th destruction of enemies, end of losses and regain of health, money expenses for philanthropic activities or for other Dharmic activities.

10^th from 2^nd family reputation and standing, gains of money from profession, 9^th from 3^rd short journeys of brothers, recognition and moritorial property to the co-born.

8^th from 4^th legacies from mother, mother’s death, destruction of property / gain of money after losing the property / assets

7^th from 5^th husband / wife of the first issue, children’s business partners,

6^th from 6^th maternal uncle’s diseases, debt traps

5^th from 7^th wife / husband’s Upasana – the deity of worship, wife / husband’s higher education and poorvapunya.

4^th from 8^th loss of tranquility, secret and occult knowledge.

3^rd from 9^th paternal uncles and aunts, short journeys and messages from father, gain of money from father’s inheritance and from children.

2^nd from 10^th gains of money from profession.

11^th Lord in different houses:

1H – Wealthy, poet, happy, orator, always gets gains.

2H – Has wealth of all kinds, all ambitions fulfilled, successful in all ventures, sudden gains from speculation if there is an aspect of 5L.

3H – Obstruction in gains on account of brothers. Not a good position for 11L for the native.

4H – Gain of wealth from mother or maternal relations, fond of pilgrimages to holy places, acquisitions of lands and buildings.

5H – Good and prosperous children, happy and learned.

6H – Sickly, never goes straight in life, and goes away to foreign lands, troubled by enemies. Also losses through enemies.

7H – Gains from wife’s side, i.e., from father-in-law’s family. Liberal, lusty, dominated by his wife.

8H – Long-lived, but life full of obstacles and losses. Wife dies during his lifetime.

9H – Fortunate, clever, writer, editor, respected by government, wealthy.

10H – Tenth is 12^th to 11^th and therefore the house of loss for the 11^th; but again 10^th is a powerful auspicious Kendra from Lagna. Therefore 11L in 10^th is considered good for the native but gains of wealth will come as result of hard work in the profession and not easily. In this disposition there is also tendency for the native to renounce the world and become a sanyasi.

11H – Own house, will bring easy gains of wealth. Native will be happy both in regard to wealth as well a children. His elder brother will be prosperous and long-lived. He will have good and true friends.

12H – Spends on good causes, extravagant, fond of women (12^th represents comforts of bed)

TENTH BHAVA

Karakatwas

Profession, Karma (Loukika + Adhyatma Karma), place of working, working condition, region of knees, devotion to elders, God, whether working hard or lazy, means of earning namely, by right or wrong means, depending on the planetary occupation or sign, philanthropic attitudes, blasphemy, one who judges.

Positional Significance

12^th from 11^th loss from eldest co-born or hospitalization expenditure of eldest co-born, loss of personal status and profits.

11^th from 12^th gains attained on the pursuit of salvation.

9^th from 2^nd inherited property from father’s side, property of the family.

8^th from 3^rd youngest co-born’s death and longevity, death of adventurous acts. 7^th from 4^th opposition to land and building acquisition, education, happiness and comforts.

6^th from 5th disease of the first issue of the native, loss of excess income and source of additional income.

5^th from 6^th maternal uncle’s children, luck obtained by enemies, patients and diseases.

4^th from 7^thmental happiness, happiness from partnership business, happiness from opposition, wife / husband’s mother.

3^rd from 8^th brothers of and messengers from friends.

2^nd from 9^th father’s income and family.

10^th Lord in different houses:

1H – Learned, famous, wealthy, poet, sickly in childhood, later picks up health, wealth grows day by day.

2H – Happy, wealthy, respected by government, charitable, generally his wealth is self-acquired.

3H – Courageous, livelihood from service, can become well by only by hard work.

4H – Excellent position for 4L, aspects own house, happiness from mother, owns conveyances, lands and buildings, wealthy and learned.

5H – Rise in career by changes, high education, course of good career, learned, intelligent, wealthy, happiness from children. 5H is 8^th from 10^th and therefore a Dusthana for 10H. But 5H is very auspicious from Lagna, therefore, while there may be changes in career, ultimate result will be beneficial to the native.

6H – Ups and downs in professional life, unfortunately troubles from enemies in his profession. His juniors in service may often supersede native.

7H – Learned, good thinker, studious, good married life. His wife may also be earning, and may be helping him in his profession.

8H – Bad morals, backbiter, blackmailer, losses in profession, disgrace but long-lived.

9H – Although 9H is 12^th from 10^th and therefore a house of loss for 10H, 9H is most auspicious to be counted from Lagna. This disposition gives rise to Raja Yoga giving native name, fame and wealth. Native will have good children, learned and happy.

10H – Own house, gives rise to powerful Raja Yoga. Native will be clever, happy, enterprising, truthful. Wealthy, famous, learned and gets honours from government. Will hold high position in government or political spheres.

11H – Happiness from children, truthful, always happy, good gains of wealth by own efforts – that is by his professional career.

12H – Losses through government like fines, taxes etc., unhappy, losses in profession, troubled in profession by secret enemies.

NINTH BHAVA

Karakatwas

Dharma (courage, kindness, control of mental senses, non-stealing, cleanliness, control of physical senses, intelligence, education and acquisition of right knowledge, not getting angry, justice, father thighs, courts, philosophy, spiritual and occult studies, Poorva Janma (past birth) prosperity also called Bhagya Sthana, judgement, attainment in right manner, temples, pilgrimages, elephant, comforts of life. 

Positional Signification

12^th from 10^th losses and expenditure in career,

11^th from 11^th eldest brother / friend’s gains and profits,

10^th from 12^th activities of enemies and their deceptive moves and conspiracies,

8^th from 2^nd pecuniary losses and complications including hard-to-meet commitments, death of family members, loss of money due to family problems,

7^th from 3^rd youngest co-born’s wife or husband opposition to communication and from soldiers, brothers and sisters, disputes with brothers,

6^th from 4^th mother’s sickness and losses occurred due to properties and also from maternal benefits,

5^th from 5^th higher education of children, grand children and speculative gains of children,

4^th from 6^th maternal uncle’s happiness from enemy’s wealth or properties,

3^rd from 7^th wife’s / husband’s youngest co-born and their valour.

2^nd from 8^th income from ancestral property, gains from legacy

9^th Lord in different houses

1H – Fortunate, respected by government / king, good manners, good morals, handsome, learned, popular.

2H – Learned, popular, wealthy, lusty, and has happiness in regard to family and children.

3H – Happy relations with brothers and sisters, wealthy, clever, good manners. 9L aspects 9H from this position and hence gives good results.

4H – Comforts of houses, lands and conveyances, happiness in respect of mother.

5H – Good children, native devoted to his preceptor, good morals, religious minded, learned, respected, famous and wealthy.

6H – Fluctuating fortunes, no good terms with maternal relations, troubled by enemies.

7H – Good gains after marriage, learned, famous.

8H – Unfortunate in every respect. Worst position for 9L, since 8H is 12^th from 9^th and therefore house of loss to 9H.

9H – Own house, very fortunate, gets all he wants. If 9H is a movable sign, he may go abroad and earn wealth, name and fame there also. Has long-lived and prosperous father. 9L in 9H causes powerful Raja Yoga.

10H – Becomes king or like king or minister, Prime Minister, President, high government official, very successful businessman. This disposition gives also rise to a powerful Raja Yoga.

11H – Gains always, devoted and obedient to elders, and his Guru, clever, charitable.

12H – Unfortunate, spends lavishly on good causes and thereby becomes poor, 12H being 4^th from 9^th this position is not bad, good for the father of the native.
