I have been approached by many of my readers that I write about numerous subjects and themes. But due to my preoccupation with professional consultation work and astrology teaching I have very little time at my disposal to devote to writing. However I have decided to publish the following articles in the next fortnight
Saturn – A Friend or a Foe
Profession
Readers and followers may suggest one more subject (other than those mentioned above) and I will try to accommodate the same. Thanks
Sir, thanks very much for this initiative. Is it possible for you to touch upon KP system atleast in a brief way appropriately. Regards…Badri, your ex-student at BVB, Bangalore
Looking Forward. Can you dwell on the right method of casting a chart? There is confusion aplenty on whether the normal zodiacal (Rashi) Chart would suffice, or should we look at Bhava Chalit or should be actually follow the Placidian unequal division chart for the purpose of determining placement/dispositors/ownership of planets.OR do we need to follow a specific method keeping in mind the objective of prediction viz determining individual characteristics, timing of events, etc? Request you to consider this subject for the clarity of a large number of astro-enthusiasts.
Thanks for your query and need for its clarification.
I am a firm believer of equal house system and I do not use Bhava (Placidus) system.
I am in no way suggesting that Bhava method is wrong.
My recommendation is that do not mix these two in your regular practice. These two will give conflicting readings at times and will put you in a quandary. Planetary positions ( either at the beginning or ending of a sign) in most cases change and therefore it’s Lordship. Sometimes people find the positions in Rashi chart are not to their liking and they switch over to Bhava to derive some satisfaction. Destiny is one for every individual and we have to stick to one path to search for it. Two different paths will take you on a divergent course.
I always advise my students to stick to one system either equal houses or Bhava throughout your practice. It is similar to sticking to one ‘Ayanamsha’…either Lahiri or BVR.
I do not want to generate unnecessary exchanges between people and would like to leave the selection of method to their choice.
