Prashna for Lost Articles
Most common query I get is related to the lost article and its subsequent recovery. I always use the method described in Daivajna Vallabha by Varaha Mihira. It has always given me extremely correct results and I recommend that budding astrologists try out this before foraying into complex methods. I will give the planetary combinations as enunciated in Daivajna Vallabha in the succeeding paragraphs. Basics- The Lagna gives the direction, place and time of theft.
- Navamsha Lagna gives the nature of the lost article.
- The Drekkana of Lagna gives the form of thief.

- Fixed signs – the stolen article is in the same place and a person known to the querist has stolen.
- Movable signs – some external person has stolen.
- Dual signs – Neighbour has stolen and the article has gone outside of the house.

- The direction where the stolen article has gone is to be told from the planet placed in the quadrants. If it is not possible, the direction is to be told from the sign of the ascendant. The distance is to be told from the number of Navamsha elapsed. This number will give the distance in Yojana. One Yojana may be taken roughly as equal to 8 miles.
- The caste, colour, qualities and form of thief will correspond to the nature of the strongest planet placed in the 7th house. If it is an odd sign and there is under aspect of a male planet, the thief is a male otherwise a female.
- The age of the thief corresponds to the planet in 7th House and these are Moon (Baby),Mars (Boy), Mercury (Teenager), Venus (Young man), Jupiter (Middle aged person), Sun (Old man) and Saturn (Very old man)
- Benefic in ascendant and aspected by another benefic.
- Venus in the second house and Jupiter in the 12th house with a benefic in the ascendant
- Full Moon in the ascendant or if there is a benefic in a Shirshodaya Rashi aspected by a benefic or if there is a very strong benefic in the eleventh house. Recovered quickly.
- Benefic in the second, third, or fourth house or if the same be in the fourth, seventh and the tenth houses, the stolen article will be recovered without any doubt.
- Full Moon in the ascendant and aspected by Jupiter or Venus or if benefics be placed in quadrants and Upachaya Sthana or if benefics be placed in the second and Upachaya Sthana.
- Full Moon, Jupiter, Venus or Mercury is placed in the ascendant.
- Benefics are placed in the seventh house.
- Benefic in the 2nd or 3rd house from the ascendant or from the 4th house.
- If the ascendant of query falls in the sign of a malefic, aspected by a malefic.
- If the 7th house falls in the sign Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius and these signs contain their own Navamshas and if the 7th house is aspected by malefics or if Mars is placed in the 8th house in these Navamshas.

It pains me to say that people treat this site as “lost and found’ counter of a Department Store. There is no seriousness in asking for lost items and expecting answers without giving any information as date, time. place, circunmstances of losss and anyother useful information.

This is not a case of lost article. You say somebody has taken it by cheating.
I am afraid I am not in a position to offer any remedies. This is a civil case and
please approach police.

If possible ,You may please clarify my doubt on the prasna timing.
– In one of yr comments, it is mentioned that, time of the question is considered as Lagna Is so, then before asking /placing the question to a Divagna, can we see a generally good time ( like no visha galige, not a rahukala, , a good nakshtra, shukla paksha etc – this is basically hoping to get a favourable result !!!!
– I mean, is this kind of ‘prefixing the timing of the question’ acceptable in Prashna shastra.

SIR I HAVE LOST MY JEWELLERY KEPT IN SAFE DURING LAST WEEK. I dont know, whether i myself have kept it at some other place or my maid has taken that away. I have searched my home and unable to find the same. Can you please help me by telling that jewelry has been taken away from home or is it still there. Your help will be highly obliged as i do nt want to take police action without reassuring myself that it has been taken away. My DOB is 19.05.1982 and time is 12:32 pm. also, since last march, I am facing so many losses at my business and am really worried about that

I had kept the documents in a bag 2-3 years back. Can’t remember me taking out of my house but it’s not there where I used to keep it. Can you please help guide where should I search for.

My wife seems to have misplaced 2 rings. Not able to find them after a house move. Can you check please if it is just misplaced or stolen? What’s place to search if misplaced? What’s thief’s description, if stolen?
You people take these things in a casual way. You have not mentioned the date and time of event / noticed, how much time has elapsed etc. With no such inputs it appears the rings may not be recovered and an old genetleman is involved in the incident.

Apologies, was not aware of all details to be provided. We changed our house last Friday (26-Aug-2022) and while unpacking on Tuesday Morning (30-Aug-2022), my wife realized that she is not finding the rings. [She in fact doesnt remember when she packed it]. We have searched almost all the bags and still havent f0und the rings.
While I appreciate your ignorance, too much time has elapsed and we cannot do anyrhing now. Prashna should be done ASAP within 24 hours. However the chances of recovery is remote.

Sir one earring is missing from my purse on September 21, 2022 around 11 am I found only one ear ring…other is missing. Kindly check will I get back at home or lost outside?
A boy is resonsible for this act and a person known to the querist has stolen. If at all it is recovered, it shhould be ebfore end October.
Otherwise it will not be recovered.

Mine and my wife’s jewellery approx 170 grams was stolen by a thief between 2AM and 3AM today 30.10.2022 while we were sleeping, Cash was not taken. The theft has taken place with the help of house help (Maid) and her friend / husband. Since concerned plnets are Retro, recovery of items is difficult / unpredictable.

Date 14 Jan 2023 i noticed my 10th,12th,BCA, MCA and other experience dominate lost.
Last was seen 20 Sep 2022 when I was brings all documents to scan at xerox shop.
I checked 2 times xerox shop and he said I don’t have. i search other two shop as well and my home as well.
Please give clues so can get it back. where is it and will it be recovered?
